Emergency Standby Power (ESP)

Prime Power (PRP)

Emergency Standby Power is the maximum power available to the varying load during the entire period of the mains failure. The average load factor during 24 hours of operation shall not exceed 70% of the ESP motor rated power. Typical motor operating hours are 200 hours per year, with a maximum usage of 500 hours per year. This includes an annual maximum of 25 hours per year at ESP rated power. No overload capability is allowed. The engine shall not be used for long-term parallel operation.

Prime power is the maximum power of the generating set when operating on a variable load without limitation of operating time during the year with breaks for maintenance. For continuous operation over 24 hours, the average permissible power shall not exceed 70% of the prime power (PRP). When determining the average actual power variable power values that are less than 30% of the prime power are taken equal to 30%, and downtime is not taken into account.

Maintenance

Scheduled maintenance every 500 engine hours. Extension of the service interval by oil analysis.

Operating time before major repairs is not less than 32,000 engine hours. Engine resource, taking into account three major repairs, is not less than 120,000 engine hours.
