Prime Power (PRP)

Continuous Power is the maximum power of the generating set when operating at a constant load without limitation of operating time per year with maintenance intervals in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Prime power is the maximum power of the generating set when operating on a variable load without limitation of operating time during the year with maintenance intervals. For continuous operation over 24 hours, the average permissible power shall not exceed 70% of the prime power (PRP). When determining the average actual power variable power values ​​that are less than 30% of the prime power are taken equal to 30%, and downtime is not taken into account.
